I am in the process of redoing my "back room". It is built on a concrete slab that was designed as a covered porch in the original configuration of the house.
The slab is about 7 inches below the rest of the house so I will be raising the floor with 2x6 sleepers on edge.
I will be knocking down the 2 outer walls and building new on top of the new floor.
The edges of the slab extend about an inch beyond the plane of the outside of the new walls.
I want to saw the 1 inch overhang off so I can apply siding without contending with the "proud" edge.

Anyone know of a concrete cutter that can help me?

I have looked at purchasing this:
https://www.amazon.com/Evolution-DISCCU ... lution+saw
It doesn't have wet capability so it will kick up a lot of dust.

Alternative ideas welcomed.

You can probably rent one like that. Chet's Rental, Garden City Rental, maybe even from Home Depot.

I rented concrete sawing stuff from Cougar Contracting in Wixom when i redid our house. They have both wet or dry equipment. http://www.cougarcontracting.com/Home_Page.html. Another option is http://www.fmgconcretecutting.com/ They're in Brighton. I've not used them however my neighbor did. They did a great job cutting the exterior stone on his house.

It's gonna take forever to clean up the mess that the dry saw will make. Don't ask me how I know.

The rental for a couple days would run more than the cost of a saw.

Have any idea what they would charge to cut 24 feet x 4" depth?

As an employee of FMG if it's concrete we can cut it. Just call (810) 227-3650 and maybe take a few pics i'm sure the office can help you they can give a quote over the phone. But if you rent and do it your self I believe you rent the saw and buy the blade. But please were a mask if you can't wet saw concrete dust is no joke.
