As many of you can attest, Dave Gendler has generously shared his tubors in the spring collected from the year before. We abuse them, don't stake them, don't fertilize them, most survive, some don't, but they are all beautiful. Thanks Dave!

The bottom one is definitely not from me. I think "mignonette" is the name of that type, but it would have a specific variety name, too. Not mine, though.

The upper one, I'm not sure that's from me, either. Somewhat similar to "Manor Sunset", of which I have given away dozens over the years, but not quite the same. No, I just checked, this one is not from me, either.

But I'm glad you are having fun with dahlias. Me, too. The season is just starting to pick up, a lot more this week than last week. Probably dahlia shows are starting LD weekend, but I have not participated in that aspect in 30 years. It's fun to see what those who are really consumed with dahlia-growing can do, though.
