Here is a knife I made from a Jeep leaf spring that Lon gave me.
Flatten the spring out and made the blade angle in the forge, cut the handle out with the angle grinder. Used Walnut for the handle.

Cuts wood like crazy the back of the blade is almost 1/4 thick.

Want to try another froe when I get some extra time.

That's cool :s_cool Did you treat the blade ?
That will last forever.
I've got a part of leaf spring that hit my HHR SS and feel the need to make something from it.
maybe a froe.

Nice blade, Wid T

That looks awesome!

I want to make a froe from a leaf spring but I need a leaf spring to make one though. If you are going to make one let me know as I would like to learn some of the processes. I have never done forging.

Hey, that looks awesome.
Glad something good came out of those old leaf springs.
I might be changing up my Jeep suspension again this winter/spring so I might have more leaf springs to get rid of. If I do I'll post them up here again.
