We just put a new wood front door in (hemlock) and I need to stain it to match some other stuff around the house. But... I'd like something to test on to get it close before jumping in. Any chance anyone has some hemlock scrap laying around?

Where did you get a hemlock door? I've only ever seen hemlock milled once (when I lived in Maine) and it was for barn siding.

I have some Hemlock and Tamarack if that'll help. They're pretty similar in appearance.
Hemlock is 1/2" x 8" x RL
Tamarack is 1" x 4" x 8'.
You're welcome to whatever works for you.
