I thought you all might enjoy a bit of history. While on a forum researching the Unipoint Radial Arm Saw (a recent acquisition of mine) I came across a reference to a little known saw produced by a company called Irvinton. A quick check with google images and lo and behold it is basically a glide saw only 50 years before the Glide was "developed" by Bosch. Fascinating eh?

Interesting.

Based on the size of those muffs that must be a 16" saw! I've seen some really big radial arm saws and in person they are very intimidating.

Are you gonna post photos of your new RAS? And are they gonna be under about 100K each so I can open them? I'm a big RAS fan, have two active and three projects.

Edit: After I posted this, I looked and "Lo and behold" (I hate that cliche') there was a photo of a big green RAS, a photo that wasn't there before. But now I am confused. Is that what you got? Is it a "Glide", or a "Unipoint", or something else, or what is it? I don't really know what a Bosch Glide is, so I don't really understand your point. But RASes are cool.
