So I'm getting my dial-up back going, and somehow it jumped from 24K to 36K which is a great improvement to me. But my phone-line surge protector was bad, and I found I had two or three other bad ones on the shelf, which seems to indicate that they have failed fairly often over the years. But they are hard to find now, and ideally I need one with one input "line" side and ports for two or three other devices like the modem, fax, and land-line phone itself. And these are rare items now, like parts for a Model T or something. Help!!!

I'd rather have the multi-port surge protector, because those separate phone-line-splitters have always seemed unreliable, to me.
