men of steel,

i need to pay somebody to fabricate a stand out of angle iron to support my new dust collector. the manufacturer sells a floor-mount stand, but the dimensions don't work if you want to shove the unit into a corner, as we do. rather, i'd like to create a metal bracket and mount it to heavy unistrut that we bolt to our wall.

anyone want to help? again, this is a paid gig, not a favor.

let me know, or if ya'll have better ideas, thanks.

I like perforated angle, sometimes called "giant Erector Set". Steel City is one brand but there are others. Usually there are enough pre-formed holes in this that you can just bolt it together with no drilling. I cut it with a horizontal BS or a "razor wheel" in a 4-1/2" angle grinder, but if you can get the little manually-operated shear they sell that is intended for this angle, it's a really cool tool.

You can also design and build your own stand out of Unistrut, with various brackets from their catalog.
