We're going to try the original format: Saturday afternoon (time to be determined), June 13th at my house. As before, the Board will purchase burgers and dogs and provide a selection of drinks. We'll ask a few to bring along some other items like salads or deserts - details will be worked out as we get closer. Wanted to post this now so folks can mark their calendars!

Edit to add: This is intended to be a non-woodworking, family friendly event, just a chance to meet and mingle with the families of our members and have a little fun. Kids will be welcomed...we're working on a number of ideas to keep them busy and entertained!

Bump!!

Start time is 2:00. Oakie is going to show around 12:30 - 1:00 with the lumber run, and hopefully stick around for a bit to enjoy the "festivities". Dave Zaret has promised to come prepared to make balloon animals for the kiddies (or the adults, if need be) Seriously, he's really good at it! We've got some other cool ideas for the kids, so hopefully they'll be a few of them!!

Here's hoping everybody can make it and mother nature cooperates...

Dave,

Any idea what kind of grub or supplies we should bring? I will try and remember to bring Bocce and the ladder ball game for the little-uns. I have a portable horseshoe set too but you will have do decide whether that is appropriate.

Justin, horseshoes are fine! Just gotta keep some people under control!! Or maybe I'll borrow the neighbors horses and make people play the hard way....gotta throw the whole horse, shoes and all!

We'll sort out exactly what is being provided by the Board at our meeting on Tuesday, then post the list of other items needed. Trying to avoid the usual problem of having too much food, so certainly nobody needs to feel obligated to bring anything... Look for an update following our Tuesday meeting.

Any other members planning on attending the SEMIWW picnic, need to know how many burgers and dogs to get.
