Ok, looks like the move is complete along with the server upgrade. If you run into any issues let me know and I'll get on them asap. The new server is running a little bit of a different software stack, so there might be a few bumps. Sorry for any that step up. Things should be back to normal speed-wise and we should be stable/good to go for a while now. Where's the smilie for 'cross your fingers'?

Ok, one bug found and I'm not sure how best to handle it to be honest. The new server runs in the EST while the temp server ran UTC. So all the timestamps on the posts are 4 hours ahead of where the new server thinks they are.

So new posts aren't currently labeled as new. It also mixes up some posts since they're going in at different times. It should only be an issue for the new couple of hours. So I'm thinking that I might just let it be for now. The only way I know to tweak things is to try to go in and modify the old posts, but that's not going to be a quick/easy fix.

Sorry for the migration issue. ](*,)

The colo server is back up and running so I'm going to work on moving the site back over to it. I'll also be updating the forum software version. There might be a couple of bumps in the road, but hopefully won't take too long. The biggest thing will be the DNS updates needed, as those take time to get to everyone out there.

If you run into any major issues make sure to let me know by sending me an email at rharding@mitechie.com. Hopefully we can get this done on a usually slow sunday night vs a busier time. Sorry for the short notice.

Rick

I'm surprised that phpBB does not store time in UTC format.

Well, there's a setting for picking what time zone users are in. So yea, I would have thought it was stored in UTC and converted per user based on their timezone, but yea, when we moved back it was obvious something wasn't right there.

It always seemed to me that the old time-stamps were inconsistent and changed sometimes from day to day. But that was never of significance to me then, and it isn't now. Thanks for your good work.
