Gather, share, learn and enjoy with other woodworkers!
The Southeast Michigan Woodworkers (SEMIWW) is a club open to all who share an interest in woodworking. Our members have widely varied skill
levels, experience, and "specialties" - our goal is to provide a way for the members to share those skills and experiences, learn from others,
and have fun doing it.
Membership
Membership in SEMIWW requires only registering on the club forum (http://www.semiww.org/forum) or by contacting a board member, and there are no dues, compensation, or expenses. The volunteers who organize, run, and host our events do so with their own personal time and resources - we ask only that you acknowledge and appreciate their efforts and lend a hand when you're able.
Meetings & Activities
Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month in Ypsilanti, Michigan. There is also a hand tool special interest group (the "Galoots") that meets on the first Thursday of each month. To attend a meeting, register on the forum and send a private message to Dave Richardson, who goes by "Just_George" on the forum.
In addition to the regular meetings we organize numerous special activities including shop tours, weekend seminars, an annual Toys for Tots toy build and field trips. Be sure to watch the forum for announcements.
The Forum
Most club communication occurs on the forum. In addition to announcments of club activities, the forum is a virtual lounge members can discuss woodworking and other topics. There is also a classified ad section available to members.
